Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Movie Trilogy Announced

Following the final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc in Japan, the series’ official accounts revealed that a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie trilogy will be released, adapting the final arc of the popular manga series into anime.

In addition, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that they had acquired the trilogy of movies for a global theatrical release excluding select Asian territories and Japan. No release date was confirmed at the time of reporting.


Haruo Sotozaki directs the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba at anime studio ufotable, with Akira Matsushima as Chief Animation Director and Character Designer, and music by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina.


Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is described as such:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
