My Hero Academia Manga Takes Week Off Due to Author's 'Sudden Illness'

The next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will hit shelves without a new chapter of the My Hero Academia manga. According to the official Twitter, the series is taking a week off due to author Kohei Horikoshi coming down with a "sudden illness."

Look for My Hero Academia to return to the pages of Jump in the following issue, which hits shelves in Japan on February 19, 2024.

The My Hero Academia manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014.

Alongside the seventh season, a fourth original film is currently in production for My Hero Academia at studio Bones. Crunchyroll streams the collection of anime episodes, specials and more from the franchise, and describes the series as such:

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
