Dragon Ball Website Confirms Manga Return Plans

Likely to the delight of fans, the official Dragon Ball website confirms that there are plans for the Dragon Ball Super manga to return at some point.

Likely to the delight of many fans, the official Dragon Ball website has confirmed that there are plans for the Dragon Ball Super manga to return one day rather than remain on hiatus indefinitely.

The official Dragon Ball site released a post stating, "Get All the Latest Info on Dragon Ball Games and Goods in the Jam-Packed V Jump Super-Sized June Edition!" on April 19, 2024, hyping the upcoming V Jump magazine issue in June. Under "Dragon Ball Super Interval Special," a column that will run until the manga's return, it reads: "Until the Dragon Ball Super manga returns to start its new story, Jump will feature illustrations and commentary from Toyotarou, plus special features that'll make reading the SUPER HERO arc even more fun!" Readers can check out the first illustration below, featuring Dr. Gero's son, Gevo.

The illustration comes with the description: "Part 1 of this special project focuses on the Red Ribbon Army! From their members and machines to the androids they created, this is your chance to learn all about them in one spot!" The Red Ribbon Army first appeared in the original Dragon Ball manga as an antagonist organization during Goku's second quest to locate the Dragon Balls, with Dr. Gero one of the surviving members following the group's defeat. However, its presence in the franchise has continued throughout the years, including in the Toyotarou-illustrated Dragon Ball Super.
