Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- Journeys Past 1 Billion Yen in Japanese Theaters
According to Japanese box office tracker Kogyo Tsushinsha, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- has made 1.25 billion yen (US$8.37 million) at the Japanese box office on the back of 874,000 tickets sold as of February 12, 2024.
Compared to last year's release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village-, -To the Swordsmith Village- made 1,158,765,410 yen in box office takings for its first three days, of which -To the Hashira Training- is only just passing during its second weekend.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- screens globally starting February 21. The -To the Hashira Training- theatrical release includes the final episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc along with the first hour long episode of the upcoming Hashira Training Arc.
Haruo Sotozaki continues to direct Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba at the anime studio ufotable, with Akira Matsushima as Chief Animation Director and Character Designer, as well as music by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina. The Demon Slayer: KImetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc TV anime is scheduled to premiere in spring 2024 in Japan.
